About BHR

BHRUT Staff Bank provides temporary workers to Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust while simultaneously helping them reduce the reliance on agency workers. Run by Bank Partners, the staff bank works in partnership with the Trust ensuring that shift fill rates are kept to an acceptable level and the high standard of care provided to patients is maintained.

As we recover from Covid-19, the Trust is proud of the work of its teams to reduce the time patients wait to get the treatment they need. The pandemic provided the drive for them to innovate and change; tackling the backlog in many ways, including holding super clinics in the evening and weekends; using state-of-the art diagnostic equipment; and streamlining ways of working.

In 2021 teams carried out more than 12,000 surgeries in the Covid secure ‘green zone’ at King George Hospital (now the Surgical Hub). In the same year, more than 100,000 CT and MRI scans were also completed.

Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust is particularly proud of its outstanding facilities, including a regional neurosciences centre; radiotherapy centre; hyper acute stroke unit; and dedicated breast care service at King George Hospital.
