CICU Nurse - Great Ormond Street Hospital
CICU nurse Gertie was an NHSP transfer and, in 2012, she went from being a full-time GOSH employee to working solely through Bank Partners. “When I retired from my permanent post, I still wanted to work at GOSH” she explained. “CICU offered me a line of work that meant I could still have the security of regular shifts. I also liked the flexibility bank work gave me - it meant I could take my holidays with my family when I wanted them.”
She remembers her registration to be quick and straightforward, “there was a very good level of support. The Bank Partners team helped with any queries I had about transferring and the process was made as quick and as straightforward as possible.”
Bank Partners offers the advantage of using iPoint for timesheets and booking shifts, which is something that Gertie really appreciates. “I can use iPoint to book into shifts at short notice and it’s a great system to track my diary and payslips. The bookings team are also really helpful and supportive. They always go through things with me over the phone and call me if there are any changes to my shifts.”
Gertie would recommend Bank Partners to intensive care nurses looking for more work-related flexibility. “The rates are really competitive compared to other hospital banks. I feel very comfortable with the team and I like the reminders I get for my training expiry dates. Also, compared to some agencies and banks I’ve worked for, I never have to worry about getting paid on time! The system is really reliable.”
